Again the disadvantage is the fact that the door become bulkier, however with custom plantation shutters you can match the color, or stain of your door to make it blend right in.

If you have an interior or exterior metal door, one of the quickest, easiest, and cheapest solutions are magnetic mini-blinds. Simply measure and choose the size closest to your window opening and attach just like a refrigerator magnet. No tools, drilling, or fastening required. They work great as a temporary or permanent solution. Of course, the disadvantage of this type of blind is that it can potentially swing when the door is opened and closed. But for those on a budget, it is the best solution.

French Door Curtain Panel
